Every year musicians showcase their unique talents at the OCFF’s annual conference. In 2010 there will be 24 Official Showcases, 2 Family Showcases and a Youth Showcase featuring participants in the Youth Program. The conference schedule is rounded out by numerous Sponsored Showcases and Private Showcases - all part of the official activities of the annual conference.

After sifting through nearly 350 submissions, a lucky few have been chosen to present at the OCFF Official showcases at the conference this October. We urge all applicants to come to the conference whether chosen or not – there are many ways to learn, to network and to create opportunities for your music to be heard and appreciated.

Submission Guidelines

Official Showcases Applications: Closed
Artists may submit applications for consideration to showcase in the categories of Official, Family, or Youth. Twenty-four slots are available for official showcasing each year. Artists selected perform for artistic directors and presenters from across Canada and around the world as well as conference delegates in a 30-minute set.

To better understand this process, please read the OCFF Official Showcase Goals and Guidelines.

Family Showcase Applications: Closed
Family Showcase applicants use the same application form as all other official acts. Two applicants are chosen by jury to perform 20 to 30 minute sets to an audience of suitably-aged children, parents and presenters. The showcase is hosted by a family performer.
Youth Showcase Applications: Closed
There are five slots available for youth performers (15 to 21 years of age) as part of the OCFF Youth Performance Program. The OCFF will match these participants with established artists from the community for one-on-one mentorship as well as offering workshops, master classes, an enhanced orientation to the OCFF event and community, a youth ‘hub’, opportunities for collaboration, and, of course, a special showcase set. For more information, visit the Youth Program page.
